Abstract

Based on Bachman and Palmer’s framework of language task characteristics, from perspective of text input and expected response, this paper studies the content validity of English reading comprehension in Senior High School Entrance Examination in Xinjiang Province from 2020 to 2022. It is found that the overall content validity is relatively high and offers some advice to improve. This study is beneficial for test designers, teachers and students to develop their comprehensive abilities in in their respective fields.
